Try before you pay

Every new account gets 60 days of full Pro access with no card required, and it does not roll into a paid subscription on its own. The best refund is the one nobody needs — please use the trial.

The 14-day guarantee

The guarantee covers the first payment of a new subscription, whether monthly or annual. Ask within 14 days of that charge and you get all of it back. Your subscription ends when the refund is issued and your account returns to read-only — your writing stays where it is, and stays exportable.

Renewals

Renewal payments are not automatically covered, because you have had the service for the period you are paying for. Two things soften that:

• You can cancel at any time from Billing in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal immediately, and you keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for.
• If a renewal caught you by surprise — you had forgotten the subscription, or meant to cancel and didn't — write to us anyway. If you haven't used the app since the charge, we will refund it. We are not interested in money from someone who isn't getting anything for it.

If something is broken

If the service doesn't do what it says it does and we can't fix it for you in reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund of the unused part of your period, whatever this page's other rules say. Tell us what went wrong first — most of the time it is something we can put right the same week.

Your statutory rights

Nothing here reduces the rights you have by law. In the EEA and the UK, consumers have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for a digital service, and this policy is written to meet or exceed it. If you are a consumer elsewhere, your local consumer law still applies in full.

How to ask

Email support@minimalwriter.app from the address on the account and say which charge you mean. You can also raise it directly with Paddle, our Merchant of Record, at paddle.net — they hold the payment and can process it either way.

Refunds go back to the original payment method. Paddle usually issues them within a few business days; how quickly it appears after that is up to your bank.
